Adhruth’s first outing – Bheemeshwari Fishing Camp January 16, 2012

We had planned for Adhruth’s first outing to Bheemeshwari Fishing Camp (approximately 120 KMs from home) a week back. Madhu had prepared a checklist of things to be taken for Adhruth as this is our first outing. She had done all the planning & preparation a day before so that we had not forgotten anything. Though, Me and Madhu had been there almost 2.5 years back, life has changed a lot with Adhruth’s arrival 🙂

We started from home at 9 AM on Saturday. Adhruth was very comfortable and sat in the car seater. Madhu made him sleep after sometime and he enjoyed good 2 hr sleep. We reached Jungle Lodges Resort at 12 Noon (with a short break). The room was amazing with AC & Water heater as it was a Log Hut with wooden finishing all places.

After lunch, had a good sleep and prepared for the evening. As this place was in the banks of river Cauvery they have Coracle ride. We were not sure if Adhruth can also come in that, but the people there were very confident that he can sit. We decided and got in that. It was a 20 minute ride and Adhruth enjoyed it a lot looking at the water and forest around. He consistently turned his head and was observing the whole place. After the ride, we sat down on the mud there and it was awesome.

Before the dinner time, it was time for Camp Fire and Adhruth was enjoying looking at the fire from distance and laughing. After the dinner, we retired to the room.

After a good sleep, in the morning finished the breakfast and got ready to leave the place. On the way back, Adhruth enjoyed the road for sometime before sleeping.

On the whole, it was such an enjoyable experience and many thanks to Adhruth for adjusting with the whole place and enjoying the stay. This would have happened without the planning done by Madhu to make sure we have everything needed for a night stay away from home.

Dear Adhruth

Just now we are back from a doctor appointment. It was such a great fulfilling and satisfactory experience today. You were able to do all these in the last week.

1. You sat down in the mid of the hall without any support for 15 mins

2. You were able to sit without your hands supporting you for few mins

3. You are now holding 2 heavy objects in both the hands and playing with both together dashing each other

4. You are now able to stand holding Madhu’s hands for less than a minute

Doctor told you are very smart and on track on these milestones. In fact the moment we entered the doctor’s room you identified it was not our home and started crying. Doctor had to hide and see all your milestones as you start crying when you see her. In the last couple of visits, you would cry the moment you see her, but today at the end of the session, you allowed doctor to touch your cheeks and shake hands with you. Great going Adhruth…

On the lighter note – Madhu took a magazine to read now and you got it from here and you tore that into few pieces today 🙂

– Your loving Dad & Mom

Here is the Video of your today’s activities

Adhruth wore a new set of dress for the New Year today. It was fun and we planned it ahead about the color of the dress. Today, we got a Hard bound book, “My Nursery Rhymes Board Book” as a gift for a purchase. Usually when Adhruth takes any book in his hand, it immediately goes to his mouth and then he tears the pages in the book and enjoys with that activity. He attempted to do the same with this book, but he was not able to do it as it was hard bound. He tried rotating it in all direction to see if he can tear it from any side but was not able to. It was fun moment when he did that.

Next he rolled around and took the Guitar and starting playing with it. I was sitting near him on both the occasions with Camera and captured the entire fun.
